Recorded at Stage 40 of the CBC Studios in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada from May to October 1989.

The Airdates are based on what aired on Fox affiliates such as WNYW-TV 5 of New York City and KTTV 11 of Los Angeles. The CBC Airdates are unclear.

Week #27 (May 01, 1989)

#89-131A was not shown in the U.S., and is not aired by Game TV in Canada due to having returning champions from the last episode of the first season (#89-130Z). Thus, the Game TV licensed content starts at episode #89-132A, and they only air 90 episodes from season 2. It's possible the Celebrity Episode (see the final entry on this page) was taped to make up for the unaired in America show, but this is unconfirmed.

Several set changes were made: The olive green backdrop was now dark blue and red, the isolation booth and contestant podiums were now a different shade of gray, the marble green floor was expanded and given the new color beige, the walls behind the contestants were bigger, the center and contestant podiums were now moved further, up the blocky lights were now the same lighter color of blue instead of green on one side, the Talkabout logos were also moved further up, there were now Talkabout transparent displays behind the contestants, and there was now a studio audience. The prizes for grand champions were now described during the end credits. In American broadcasts, they were replaced with parting gifts. The big rule change during this Season was that $1,000 for retiring undefeated now began at this value, and a prize was added every time new champions were crowned up to $10,000, until a team claimed it. Otherwise, gameplay was identical to Season 1. This episode began with Barb & Stripes leading their opponents, 13-5. Barb was last seen as Barbara. When production on Talkabout resumed in May 1989 to kick off Season 2, she was now known as Barb, and was now wearing glasses.
